The fairy-tale story of Medulka the little bee
Set out with the children into the magical world of bees and discover life in the hive through the eyes of Medulka the little bee. Together, we will find out who makes up the bee family, how bees collect nectar and pollen, how honey is made and why bees are so important for nature.
During a movement game, the children will try out the work of forager bees in a blooming meadow.
The children will look at live bees in glass hives, try out selected beekeeping tools, learn about beeswax and make a fragrant candle with their own hands, which they can take home as a lovely reminder of their visit.

The bee and her mission
How does a bee hive work? Who looks after the queen, who builds the honeycombs and which bees fly out to collect nectar and pollen? Through playful activities, the children will learn about the individual members of the bee family and their important tasks.
During a movement game, they will then try out the work of one bee profession in practice (the activity is chosen with regard to the children’s age).
The children will see live bees in glass hives, try out some beekeeping tools and learn about the plants in the herb garden that are part of the bees’ food supply. At the end, they will take home a small gift in the form of a beeswax candle made with their own hands.
